Electrical Work in South West London & Surrey
Rewires, new circuits and feature lighting for the extensions, lofts and refurbishments we build.

Electrical Work by one team
Electrical work on our projects ranges from a full rewire of a period flat to the circuits and lighting for a new kitchen extension. It is planned with the layout, so sockets, switches and light fittings are in the right place before the plasterers arrive.
Lighting is a visible part of the finished rooms. The recessed LED ceiling on this page, with its pendant globe lights, is from one of our own refurbishments.
We work across Kingston, Richmond, South West London and Surrey. See the areas we cover or send an enquiry.

What an electrical project covers
Rewires
Full and partial rewires of houses and flats, usually carried out while floors and walls are open during a refurbishment.
Feature lighting
Recessed LED details, pendants, wall lights and lighting to joinery and panelling, set out on the drawings before first fix.
New circuits and consumer units
Additional circuits for extensions, lofts, kitchens and underfloor heating, with the consumer unit upgraded where the existing one has no spare capacity.
Testing and certification
Every installation is inspected and tested on completion, and the electrical certificate is handed over with the building control paperwork.

Frequently asked questions
Does electrical work need building regulations approval?
Some of it does. Under Part P of the Building Regulations, new circuits, consumer unit replacements and work in bathrooms are notifiable. The work is certified on completion and the certificate is issued to you.
How do I know if my property needs rewiring?
Signs include an old fuse box with rewirable fuses, rubber or fabric covered cable, sockets with round pins and no earth at the light fittings. An electrical installation condition report confirms the state of the wiring.
When should the lighting be decided?
Before first fix. Cables for lighting are run before the walls and ceilings are plastered, so the lighting layout is agreed on the drawings at the design stage.
Do you take on electrical work on its own?
Most of our electrical work is part of a building project. Send the details of a standalone job with your enquiry and we will confirm whether we can help.
